Our Mission


Our mission is to empower young people to make sustainable and ethical purchasing decisions, without compromising their love for fashion, by providing them with contemporary clothing pieces that tell a story. Placing emphasis on ‘Slow Fashion,’ Trophy Wives challenges you to approach trends consciously, and discover your own iconic style.

We were founded upon 6 pillars. As we continue to change and grow as a brand, we can ensure that these pillars will uphold the values of our company no matter where we go. 

  1. Transparency 

We are forever your healthiest relationship because we communicate with you openly and honestly. We strive to be “more sustainable,” which means that we’re not perfect, but you’ll always know which areas of our business are flawed, and how we plan to improve. 

  1. Inclusivity 

Historically, the fashion industry has been a non-inclusive space for people of colour, diverse bodies, disabled people/people with disabilities and the LGBTQ+ community. We do not want to contribute to this. Trophy Wives was founded by two women of colour, and we want to represent the fashion industry in the way that it should be; by the people who wear clothes.

  1. Empowering Women 

Building upon the previous pillar, the name "Trophy Wives" was founded upon a collective feeling that many women experience: the feeling of being stripped of our accomplishments and individual identities. At Trophy Wives, we aim to uplift all women in their endeavours, and we hope to someday grow to a point where we can directly support the dreams and visions of women in a meaningful way. 

We also acknowledge that the fashion industry recklessly exploits women of colour in developing countries, which is why we work with manufacturers who choose to empower their workers, instead of abusing them. 

  1. Education 

The industry is ever-changing. It is our responsibility to stay up-to-date on the nuances that impact sustainable and ethical fashion, and make changes as needed. When sharing everything that we have learned with our family, we will always be prepared with our sources for those who want to learn more, and we will never change the narrative in order to fit our business needs. 

  1. Comprehensive 

From our partners, to fabrics, to labour, to packaging, to processes, we know all the factors that must be considered in the sustainability conversation. We don’t plan on excluding any of these key factors when building our supply chains. 

  1. Empathy
